• Delhi Metro launched first-ever Train Control & Supervision System. 
• The first indigenously developed Train Control and Supervision System was launched on 18 February 2023, for operations on the Red Line of Delhi Metro.
• The Automatic Train Supervision System (i-ATS) has been developed by a joint team of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL).
• The i-ATS is a computer-based system that will manage train operations.

• The first nuclear power plant in North India would be built in Gorakhpur, Haryana, according to Union Minister Jitendra Singh.
• The plant will have a capacity of 1,400 MW.
• The Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana (GHAVP), having two units of 700 MW capacity each of Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) of indigenous design, is under implementation near Gorakhpur village of Haryana.
• Till date, an amount of ₹4,906 crore has been spent out of the total allocated funds of 20,594 crore.
• Construction of other Main Plant buildings/structures viz. Fire Water Pump House (FWPH), Safety Related Pump House (SRPH), Fuel Oil storage area-1&2 (FOSA-1&2), Ventilation stack, overhead tank (OHT), Switchyard Control Building, Safety related & Non-safety related Tunnel & Trenches, Retaining walls and Garland Drain is progressing well.
• Ground improvement in Turbine Building -1 & 2, 220 kV Switchyard and IDCT-1A is completed.

• He also served as Governor of West Bengal from July to November 2022.
• Prior to all this, he was a senior leader of Tamil Nadu BJP.
